Scenes

Working on my "scenes." When creating my ideas and working towards my acetate slides I like to create "scenes" from my head and things that I want to include. My work is like a storyboard at times as I feel that it progresses from each piece. This especially works because of the Death theme in the upcoming exhibition as it is like a progression for me, the way I see the transcendence to Death and the things that are left behind.

I am pretty tired at the moment so I'll just summarise - my work so far is progressing, not as quick as I'd hope but that's what comes from a full time desk job -_-
Anyway the next step is to use my "scenes" to work from and create photographs. Then to use those to layer and show little parts of remains in the images, the essences of being left behind after someone's life is over.

The scenes and remains will be used to create insights into my ideas around death as well as reflect what the coffin works place makes me feel, what it means to me and also referring to the work/ethics and the lives of the people who worked there.
But I still want the topic to seem so free, and to be able to grow in different directions. I don't want to be restricted by the building's practices and ideals - they will be reflected but also used as inspiration to fuel my both melancholy and regenerating outlook on death.

My first charcoal drawing in a while - I am really pleased with it. It is the beginning of doing my artwork again, the first little "scene" I have been working on.
